Adriana Lima on Losing Her Baby Weight, Bombshell Fragrance and DIY Workout Tricks

Alert! Victoria's Secret models Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima, and Lily Aldridge take over the brand's SoHo store for the "Bombshell" fragrance launch.

StyleList caught up with Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima this weekend in Soho, New York, where the most recognizable face of Victoria's Secret was helping the lingerie brand launch the new Bombshell fragrance.

Dziekan III, Getty Images Having given birth to daughter Valentina just 10 months ago, the svelte brunette is already back in midriff-baring pieces like the Incredible Bra and build-your-own bikinis. But the new mom who delivered a small four pound baby due to her pregnancy-induced hyptertension made sure her new daughter's health came first before any thoughts of weight loss.

"I didn't try losing weight right away because I wanted to breast feed. I took my time and ate really well and healthy, and then started getting back in shape five months after I gave birth," Lima told StyleList.

While Lima did work with a trainer, her main form of exercise was a simple past time taken straight from the school playground: jump rope.

"The first time I tried jump roping, I couldn't last past three minutes. But my advice is to not give up. When you're trying to lose weight, doing something is better than nothing. Jump rope for three minutes, and slowly, you will get stronger and be able to do it longer," said Lima.

The 29 year-old looked every bit the part of lingerie cover model this weekend, with half-hooded bedroom eyes lightly smudged in black kohl, and her complexion accented by bronzer. Yet Victoria's Secret makeup artist Polly Osmond says the models she makes up for shoots sometimes do come in with blemishes and broken out skin, like any other woman who has a pesky bad skin day.

"I don't cake the foundation on in that case we actually just rely on the Photoshop to remove a spot here and there. It's much easier to remove a spot than to make a heavily made-up face look subtle and sexy," Osmond told StyleList at the New York event, where she was on call to touch-up models.

We'll have to take Osmond's word on it, as the model faces we saw in addition to Lima  Chanel Iman, Candice Swanpoel, Lily Aldridge and Erin Heatherton were all sporting an envy-inducing level of flawlessness.
 

Victoria's Secret Bombshell fragrance. Photo: Courtesy of Victoria's Secret And while Dream Angels is admittedly Lima's favorite Victoria's Secret fragrance of all, she says her current kick is fittingly Bombshell, which features splashy notes of passion fruit, Shangri-La peony and vanilla orchid.

"I wear it from hair to toe," smiled Lima.

It's the most amount of anything we've seen her wear yet.
