3 Bloggers, 1 Product: Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen

November 12, 2011 by Makeup Artist

In StyleList's 3 Bloggers, 1 Product column, top beauty bloggers sound off on a hot new item. Food, shelter, clothing, eyeliner.

Those are necessities for a gorgeous life, but finding the perfect, do-it-all eyeliner is proving to be more work than inventing fire. Why can't one stick be blendable and waterproof?

Pixi thinks they've solved eyevolution with a new pencil that glides on like liquid liner thanks to a creamy, nylon-like formula. Made with vitamin E, the Endless Silky Eye Pen (, pixibeauty.com) allows quick blending and smudging before it dries into waterproof, smudge-proof, cry-proof color. Bonus: it even comes in 6 colors.

But the big question: can this pencil replace your liquids and your liners?

Kris from Productwhores.com says:
"This amazing little pencil delivers a perfect liquid liner-esque effect every time, but has the extra benefit of being blendable as long as you do some smudging before it dries. The extremely silky texture means I can create the perfect line without pulling at my eyelids or awkwardly struggling with one of those ridiculous liquid liner brushes.

The pencil comes in 6 wearable colors, including True Teal, which is a vibrant aqua I am loving despite my predictable instinct to usually just grab dark brown. Paraben-free, preservative-free, hypoallergenic, and waterproof - these liners are a must-have, and at only .00 they are a no-brainer when it comes to pulling out the wallet. I am especially impressed that at the end of a long day of boring meetings my liner still looks perfect. If only I could say the same for my hair and coffee-stained shirt."

Amber from Beautybloggingjunkie.com says:
"It's a fine line (ha!) with liners. Not enough glide and you wind up with liner that doesn't go close enough to the lashes and gives the illusion of eyelid crepiness. Too much and you're suddenly, bafflingly Miss Havisham. Pixi's liner pen delivers a smooth line that's blendable (though you'll need to blend seconds after application). Best of all, it comes in inspiring, retro, Fiestaware-esque shades that aren't really in circulation anymore. This is in addition to more classic hues, of course.

I don't love that you need to make sure you have a super-sharp point every time or it gets exceedingly messy! But if you make sure to sharpen, you can ensure your color doesn't migrate down your cheek."

Laurie from Beautysspot.com says:
"Paraben-free and primp-friendly, this adorable little wand appeals to earth muffins and beauty queens alike. In fact, a little post-yoga class group testing led to an instant, "I'm going to buy this at Target right now" from one militantly organic-minded yogini.

Pixi's silky application lends to easy application and an effortless smoky eye, but take heed when applying it to the lower lid as it smudges more easily there. Still, it's a MUST buy. Pigment this flattering is as rare as an actual Pixi. Enjoy!"
